How to Plant Trees
Not only are trees vital to this planet, but planting and growing future generations of trees is a small way you can contribute to making this world a little bit better. Trees give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilizes the soil and provides numerous other benefits that help the lives of humans and animals.
ITEMS YOU’LL NEED:
A location for your tree (consider the size and height that it will grow for years to come)
Tree of your choice
E.B. Stone Planting Compost
E.B. Stone Sure Start Organic Fertilizer
E.B. Stone Tree & Shrub Food
Step 1: Select the perfect location for your new tree
Step 2: Make sure to dig a hole twice the size of the growing container
Step 3: Remove the tree from the growing container and gently massage the roots
Step 4: Sprinkle E.B. Stone Sure Start Organic Fertilizer on the roots to help reduce transplant shock
Step 5: Mix 25% E.B. Stone Planting Compost to 75% native soil and use this mixture to fill the hole around the root ball - gently press the soil around the tree and water thoroughly
HOW TO HELP BALANCE THE PH OF YOUR TREE SOIL
By annually adding lime to your trees, you will help balance the pH of your soil and allow maximum release of all the nutrients in your fertilizer.
Note: *Be sure to stake your tree for added support until roots get established; approximately for a couple of years depending on the variety. Also, make sure to feed with E.B. Stone Tree & Shrub Food throughout the growing season.
